It’s wedding season! Chances are that someone you know, or someone you know knows someone who has either just gotten married or is getting married soon. I am no different. In less than six weeks one of my favorite people in the world will be trading vows with a man that she loves and adores. Not only does this give me an opportunity to visit New York as a bridesmaid, but it also provides a creative opportunity to revisit all of the traditions interwoven into the ceremony. One centuries old custom is the adage “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue,” where each token represents a gift of love and luck given to the bride. The blue token specifically represents love and fidelity, so with that in mind, take a look at some wonderful ways to incorporate various true blue notes into wedding jewelry and accessories!
Tonight was the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show and the production was awesome! The themed sets were amazing and of course the jewelry left me inspired. Here are a couple of my favorite images from the show, excluding the 2 million dollar diamond bra by the Damiani Group. Yes. 2 Million dollars.
The one thing that is awesome about jewelry is that it can be worn in your hair. At the Hong Kong Jewelry show, several Antique jewelry vendors displayed beautiful decorative hair combs. A classic way to wear diamonds in your hair, and perfect for anyone attending a big event or for a bride to be. Below are some pictures of some of my favorites…
