While I was at the Hong Kong show there was an antique jewelry atrium. Wow, great finds! I am now going to start shopping antique jewelry stores because they have such beautiful and classic designs. You can find wonderful fine jewelry at these stores as well. For the brides that are against purchasing a diamond, purchasing an antique diamond engagement ring that has been worn by another person is recycling at its best. Many times you can find very unique designs that can make your ring stand out from others. The other great thing about purchasing an antique piece is that you can use the stones to create your own custom designed jewelry if you are not crazy about the original design.
Here are some great pieces from antique jewelry stores. I have my eye on a Cartier tank watch…
Enjoy!
P.S. A great place I have found on the web to begin your search is Walton’s Antique and Estate Jewelry. They have a lovely Emerald ring that I would give up candy for!

I have been looking for a tank watch for myself, they are timeless…. no pun intended! LOVE those antique rings, very, very similar to what you design.

Do you by chance remember where the sapphire and diamond engagement ring came from?

Hi Shawna! Thank you for checking out my blog! I don’t remember which retailer was selling that specific ring but if you are in the market for a similar style, I can definitely help you with designing a custom piece. Let me know! Thanks again – Halle
